This policy explains which data Yannic Fréson 3D collects when you visit the website or request a quote, what it is used for and how long it is kept. It also covers the files you send.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Yannic Fréson, acting under the name Yannic Fréson 3D, with registered office at Tangeweg 2, 1800 Vilvoorde, Belgium, and company number BE 0804.626.876. The registered office is not a visiting address. The contact details are listed on the contact page.

You can use those details for any question about your data. No data protection officer has been appointed; that is not required for a business of this size.

Which data is collected

When you request a quote or get in touch

  • your name and email address;
  • your phone number, if you fill it in;
  • your message and the details of your request, such as material, colour and quantity;
  • the files you upload, such as a 3D file, a sketch or a photo.

When you order

  • your delivery address, to deliver your order to you on an agreed day or to ship it, or to fetch from you an item that has to be measured;
  • the details that must appear on an invoice, including the company number for a business customer;
  • the details of your order and your payment. Yannic Fréson 3D does not store card details itself.

When you visit the website

  • anonymised visitor statistics: which pages are viewed, which website a visit comes from, and the type of device and browser. These statistics work without cookies and don't follow you from site to site.
  • technical log files from the hosting service, including your IP address, which are needed to keep the website secure and available.

You are not obliged to provide data. Without your name, email address and a description or file, however, no quote can be made.

Files you send

Your files are used only to make your quote and carry out your order. They are not used for anything else, not passed on, and no prints of them are sold to others.

Don't send files containing other people's personal data unless the job needs it. You remain responsible for the content of what you upload and for the right to have it printed. There is more on this in the terms and conditions.

What your data is used for, and on what basis

  • Answering your request, making a quote and carrying out your order. Basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract.
  • Drawing up invoices and keeping the accounts. Basis: a legal obligation.
  • Handling questions about a delivered item and the legal guarantee. Basis: performance of the contract and a legal obligation.
  • Keeping anonymised statistics and securing the website. Basis: the legitimate interest of Yannic Fréson 3D in knowing whether the website works and in preventing abuse.
  • Showing a photo or render of an item made for you in the portfolio. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Yannic Fréson 3D does not use your data for advertising and sends no newsletter. There is no automated decision-making and no profiling.

Who receives your data

Yannic Fréson 3D never sells or rents out your data. It only reaches the service providers needed to run the website and the orders:

  • Vercel: hosting of the website, the cookieless visitor statistics and the storage of uploaded files.
  • Resend: sending the emails generated by the quote form.
  • Zoho Mail: the company mailbox, where those emails arrive.
  • The carrier: your name and delivery address, only if your order is shipped. With personal delivery your address is not passed on to anyone.
  • The accountant and the invoicing software: the details on your invoice.
  • Public authorities: only where the law requires it.

These providers may use your data only on the instructions of Yannic Fréson 3D and not for their own purposes.

Transfers outside the European Union

Vercel, Resend and Zoho are international companies and may process data outside the European Economic Area. This happens under the safeguards that data protection law provides for it, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses. If you want to know more about these safeguards, ask through the contact page.

How long your data is kept

  • Quote request without an order: your request and your files are deleted 90 days after the last contact.
  • Files from a completed order: 12 months after delivery, so that a repeat order or a reprint remains possible. If you want them deleted sooner or kept longer, say so.
  • Messages about an order: 3 years after delivery, for questions about the legal guarantee.
  • Invoices and accounting records: for as long as the law requires them to be kept.
  • Visitor statistics: only in anonymised, aggregated form.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies for advertising, tracking or statistics, and uses no similar techniques to follow you. That is why there is no cookie banner.

If anything is stored on your device, it is only what is strictly necessary to make the website work as you ask, for example to protect a form against abuse.

Security

The website and the quote form run over an encrypted connection. Uploaded files are not publicly accessible and only Yannic Fréson 3D can open them. No system is completely secure; should there be a breach that poses a risk to you, you will be informed as the law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask which data Yannic Fréson 3D holds about you and receive a copy;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data and your files deleted, as far as they do not have to be kept by law;
  • have the processing restricted;
  • object to processing based on a legitimate interest, such as the visitor statistics;
  • receive your data in a common format or have it transferred;
  • withdraw a consent you gave.

Send your request through the details on the contact page. You get a reply within one month. To make sure the data goes to the right person, you may be asked to confirm your identity.

If you are not happy with how Yannic Fréson 3D handles your data, please say so first. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian supervisory authority:
